Knepp Castle
West Sussex
2 Giant Hats
110 guests

The gorgeous brides had a wonderfully relaxed seaside ceremony under the Brighton Bandstand, followed by a personalised tipi reception at Knepp Castle, West Sussex. With both Lynda and Sophie working as graphic designers, the care and attention that went into the design elements of their day are simply beautiful.

The day followed a subtle nautical theme, with hints of bright reds and classic blues dotted amongst the bridesmaids’ dresses, their hair and makeup and that stunning table décor. Those jam jars and bottles of jumbled up meadow flowers on our solid wooden tables are our personal favourite (along with the tipi-design menus!) We also love how they kept the kids happy too with jars of lego bricks alongside the flowers – such a great, yet simple idea.

The personal touches were what made Lynda and Soph’s wedding stand out to us, with each table being named after a country that the couple had travelled to together. This was teamed with a wonderful DIY signpost outside the tipis, showing the direction and distance to each of the places their guests had travelled from. By the lake there were hay bales covered with hessian sacks and games of croquet to complete the informal atmosphere. Quite lovely!

Thanks go out to the super talented Alex of my-lovestory.co.uk for sharing their beautiful photos with us.
